Our Story
Situated near the Templo de San Francisco, Azul Talavera is ideally located in the city’s downtown Centro Histórico, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. The hotel draws its inspiration from the colonial city’s centuries-old cultural heritage. Comprised of a collection of historical buildings from various eras surrounding a picturesque private courtyard, Azul Talavera integrates modern elements with traditional craftsmanship and materials, such as the city’s famed Talavera ceramics, into its design while showcasing Mexican furnishings and works of art. Refined architectural details, classic ironwork and graceful arches evoke a rich history and contribute to a welcoming and sophisticated residential atmosphere.
Azul Talavera features 78 rooms and suites, indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, an indulgent spa and a rooftop pool with stunning views of the city and surrounding volcanoes. The hotel’s additions to Puebla’s dynamic dining scene—the signature farm-to-table restaurant Bar Bistrot, the casual European-style Café Azul and the sophisticated outdoor lounge, Bar Los Lavaderos—all celebrate Mexico’s history and honor the region’s distinguished culinary traditions.
